Employer Alert: Continue to Use Current Form I-9

The next time you hire a new employee, you might notice the Form I-9 expires on October 31, 2022. Good job paying attention!

Well, don’t panic. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a statement instructing all employers to continue using the current Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, after its expiration date of October 31, 2022, until further notice.

DHS will publish a Federal Register notice to announce the new version once it becomes available.

If you have questions about this form or aren’t currently using the correct version, below is a link to DHS, where you can print a copy to begin using immediately.
